tableBASE VTS

DataKinetics® tableBASE® VTS further reduces your consumption of mainframe resources.

While bolstering your tableBASE applications to be even faster, the real value comes from reduced mainframe real memory and cache storage usage.

Multiple regions, multiple data spaces

One way to increase transaction throughput is to leverage multiple CICS or IMS regions to allow parallel throughput. Several regions processing transactions provide more throughput than a single region. However, all these regions will use their own memory, and consume their own caching resources. And if they all initialize simultaneously, there will be a bottleneck situation.

Shared data spaces

tableBASE VTS allows many regions to share in-memory tables. Where 50 regions would use a significant amount of real and cache memory resources, tableBASE VTS allows you to consume 1/50th of the resources, while enjoying the increased throughput of those 50 regions. Reaping all the benefits, suffering from none of the drawbacks.

Instead of buying more machine to provide more and more memory resources, stand fast with the hardware that you have now. Get much more out of the hardware that you have now. tableBASE VTS provides an immediate ROI, and continues to add value for years to come.

When ready, updated tables are switched for the production tables currently in use without interrupting ongoing processing. Down time is not necessary. Network servers can run 24x7 without stopping for updates, without waiting on network latency, and without waiting on disk I/O latency.
